SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The School of Foreign Languages aims at teaching foreign languages to students of the University. The school plays a key role as the central support service for all students, undergraduate, seeking to develop their language skills. The School is comprised of the following divisions: Basic English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Post Preparatory English, and Turkish for Foreign Students. The school does not carry out programmes leading to degrees, but offers various courses and programmes to develop the language skills of students as well as organising the language proficiency examinations of the university. The language proficiency examinations are both for undergraduate and post-graduate students. Native students who are accepted to the university have to take the foreign language proficiency examination if it is required by their department.
The school also offers Turkish courses and Turkish proficiency examinations to non-native students.
