Beytepe Student Houses

Beytepe Student Houses accommodate 4300 students in 13 blocks and are suited to meet all the needs of the students.

The rooms in the Beytepe Student Houses are designed in such a way as to allow beneficiaries to work in a family-like atmosphere. All rooms have a bathroom, toilet, bed, library, desk, clothespress and fridge. There is also a space for a computer and TV. Hot water is provided on a continuous basis in these houses. There are also reading halls and TV halls alongside a dining hall with kitchen and laundry facilities, including irons on all floors.

Students on postgraduate courses may also stay in these houses.

Sıhhiye Girls' Dormitory

This has two blocks, and a total capacity of 704 people.

Facilities include a canteen, study rooms, a laundry, an ironing room, computer rooms, and dental laboratory for students of dentistry. There is a coin box telephone system for domestic and international phone calls and an announcement system in the dormitory. Hot water is available 24 hours.

The rooms are designed for two students to share. All rooms are equipped with single beds, a locker, a desk and a bookshelf for each student. In addition, there is a small fridge and a shoe cupboard for the shared use of the two students.

Sıhhiye Boys' Dormitory  

There is only one block with 4 floors, 16 units for 340 people in total. There are six regular rooms without balcony and one room with a balcony in each unit. Rooms are designed for either 4 or 2 students depending on the student’s choice. All rooms are equipped with single beds, a locker, desk, and a bookshelf for each student. In addition, there is a small fridge and a shoe cupboard for the shared use of the students.
Moreover, there is a laundry room with a fully automatic washing machine and a drying machine for student use.

In addition to these; there is coin box telephone system for domestic and international calls, a dental laboratory for students of dentistry, study rooms as well as internet and computer rooms in the dormitory. Hot water is available 24 hours

There is one canteen, for the common use of both girls and boys within the Dormitory.

Beytepe Girls' Dormitory

The Girls’ Dormitory in the Beytepe Campus comprises Blocks A, B and C and has a capacity of 842. Students can enter and leave the dormitorys by using a magnetic card and all users are monitored by an automatic security system.

There are 14 floors in Block A with 8 rooms on each floor. Block A can accommodate 220 students, and all of the rooms in this block are for 2 people.  There is a study room and a kitchen with an electric cooker and ovens for all to use on the ground floor.

Block B is comprised of 15 floors, with 7 rooms on each floor. The rooms are each for 2 students and the total capacity of the block is 210. There are electric cookers and cupboards for students on every floor.

Additional facilities include a study room, a laundry with fully automatic washing and drying machines, an ironing room, an internet room and a TV room.

There are 14 floors in Block C with 8 rooms on each floor. The rooms are designed for 4 people and the total capacity of this block is 412. Study room, electric cookers and ovens are provided in Block B. 

All of the rooms in Blocks A, B and C are equipped with fridges, desks, bookshelves and clothespresses. There are lavatory facilities on each floor, toilets and baths and a shower cabin. Hot water is provided for the dormitory at set hours every day. There are shopping centers and canteens to meet student needs within the borders of the campus. Every year new students are accepted at the dormitories according to space availability. The main criteria by which students are selected for the vacancies are their success levels and their economic status.

Beytepe Boys' Dormitory

The Boys’ dormitory in Beytepe Campus contains Blocks D and E and has a capacity of 548.  Students and staff can enter and leave the dormitories by using a magnetic card and users are monitored with an automatic security system.

There are 14 floors in Block D with 7 rooms on each floor. Block D can accommodate 196 students, and all of the rooms in this block are each for 2 people.  There is a study room and a kitchen with an electric cooker and ovens on the ground floor.

Block B consists of 15 floors with 7 rooms on each floor. The rooms are each for 2 students and the total capacity of the block is 196. All of the rooms in this block are equipped with fridges, desks, bookshelves and clothespresses. In addition, there is one communal kitchen on every floor. There is one personal locker each student on every floor. Hot water is provided for the dormitory at set hours everyday, and there are shower cabins. Moreover; there is a laundry and ironing room with a fully automatic washing machine and drying machine for student use. 

Block E has 15 floors with 8 rooms on each floor. The rooms in this block are designed either for 2 or 4 students. The accommodation capacity of Block E is 352. These rooms are equipped with fridges, desks, and clothespresses. Hot water is provided for the dormitory at set hours everyday. There is a study room, internet room and a kitchen on the ground floor of the block. There are 2 ovens and 4 electric cookers in the kitchen. Moreover; there is a laundry and ironing room with a fully automatic washing machine and drying machine for student use.

Application

All information contained in this page is important for you; please read all.

Your application for being a beneficiary of Hacettepe University accommodation facilities will be evaluated by relevant boards through consideration of your academic achievement (for students other than juniors), ÖSSY (University Entrance Exam) success (for junior students), duration of education and the other data in the student information form. So, it is mandatory to fill in the student information form completely and accurately.

Applications that are found to be incomplete and/or inaccurate will not be evaluated; even if placement is already complete, it will be canceled.

Before applying, you need to read the Hacettepe University Yurtlar (Dormitories), Öğrenci Evleri (Student Houses) and Konuk Evleri (Guest Houses) Regulations.

Those accepted for the accommodation facilities can access the results on this page. Before registration, the candidates need to deposit an accommodation contribution fee as well as a monthly fee as outlined below. Then they must submit by hand the registration documents. Otherwise, they will forfeit their chance.

Note: The accommodation contribution fee and monthly/quarterly fees must be deposited separately in the account numbers above, and 2 (two) copies of receipts must be obtained for each transaction, one copy to be submitted to the dormitory administration.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

1. Student Certificate (copy of the H.U. student ID card).
2. 4 new color passport photographs in compliance with the regulations regarding dressing without head scarf or beard.
3. 2 envelopes (print your family’s residence address outside of Ankara and attach a registered mail stamp).
4. Clean criminal record to be obtained from the Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office (this might also be obtained from other provincial offices registered in the database.) (*)
5. Health Report obtained from any tuberculosis dispensary under the Ministry of Health that evidences the absence of tuberculosis (*)
6. Residence Certificate.
7. Copy of ID Card (For juniors).
8. A certificate obtained from the school graduated from, evidencing the lack of any previously recorded disciplinary punishment; the nature of the punishment, if any (for juniors).
9. A certificate to be obtained from Beytepe Gendarmerie Station showing the eligibility for accommodation at the dormitory (for applicants to Beytepe Dormitories) (to be acquired via the Directorate of Dormitories.)
10. Transcript (to be collected from the Registrar’s Office for those neither junior nor senior)
11. File (2 pieces).
12. For foreign students, the residence paper to be issued by Turkish National Police Forces evidencing the permission for staying in Turkey and a certified copy of the passport.
